Attack of dns changer malware

In my four years being active online this is the first time I had encountered a new threat on the computers internet function. This I called  "attack of DNS changer malware". I know of viruses, worms and other infections on the computer but what I do is always clean my computer with a cleaner and anti-virus softwares from all the available brands online. And if does not work I simply load the windows xp program.

This "attack of DNS changer malware" is really the newest one online, it had infected millions of computers worlwide and still a lot of people does not know it.  If your not familiar with DNS (it means domain name server). The computer links to other site on the internet through the router and through this router with an IP address and DNS communicates  with other links or site online in order for us to link to other sites. Now what the DNS changer malware does is "change" the DNS and re-direct our links through what the operator of this "DNS changer" wants us to go. So it is just as easy for this "bad guys" to spy on us and get on our personal informations, so this is a very dangerous malware.

I happen to know this DNS changer malware when a banner on Google search pops up below the browser window  which serves as a warning that your computer is infected with DNS changer malware;

If you notice this WARNING whenever you go on the search window then your computer is infected with DNS changer malware. The warning came from the DCWG ( domain changer working group) and FBI.

From the FBI ; Six Estonian nationals have been arrested and charged with running a sophisticated Internet fraud ring that infected millions of computers worldwide with a virus and enabled the thieves to manipulate the multi-billion-dollar Internet advertising industry. Users of infected machines were unaware that their computers had been compromised—or that the malicious software rendered their machines vulnerable to a host of other viruses.

In view of this development the DCWG ( domain changer working group) came out for the campaign to warn computer users to make necessary action to get rid of the DNS changer malware. From my side i educate myself with this campaign through the following links ;

                          Domain Changer Working Group

                          Federal Bureau of Investigation

After orienting myself with all the details behind this DNS changer malware, I decided to launch my own "attack". I followed the instructions from OpenDNS.com change the setting of the router with the recommended DNS of OpenDNS.com then " in a few minutes the change on the setting was set up. I test the new DNS and check for the banner warning about the DNS changer malware if it was still on the google search and I found that it was gone, so Its a success..

So heed this warning dont take this as a joke, this is serious your online activity will stop on July 9, 2012 and you cannot link to the internet. If you see the WARNING upon going to your search window, follow the instructions and you will be safe. If you need assistance , just do comment below.
